On our door step...
Liddel Park is situated in an idyllic forest setting and is believed to have been a hunting lodge. Pine, Cypress and Fir
cottages are part of a south facing courtyard, nestled in an elevated
part of the forest. Its the ideal place for those who relish the ultimate in peace and quiet.
The forest that surrounds Chamot and Wakey Hill, is accessible from your front door and if you’re a walker, enjoy nature or just looking for peace and quiet, Liddel Park is perfect. Despite its solitude, we are only 10 minutes by car into the small market town of Longtown. For exploring further afield to the Borders, North Cumbria and Solway coasts, we are perfectly located.
This perfect area of Cumbria is teeming with wildlife in an abundant landscape, home to flora and fauna, birds of prey, deer, red squirrels, badgers….the list just goes on.
Pine, Cypress & Fir…
The cottages, in their courtyard setting, have their own patio area with seating and barbeque.
Each is fully equipped and comfortably furnished sleeping 2 – 5
people. All have central heating and being on one level, making life a
little easier for those less able. Towels and bed linen are
included. Weekly rates are normally chargeable Saturday to
Saturday, and by arrangement for other stays of 7 days or more.
Our minimum stay is only 2 nights for any of the cottages.
Mobile phone reception is patchy at the cottages - ideal for
those who really want to switch off from the outside world!!
Your dog(s)
Well behaved dog(s) are welcome at a small charge, if you need a kennel for a short period we’re happy to oblige.
We have a grooming room, should they get really muddy!
Fishing
The local rivers, Border Esk, Liddle, Annan and Eden are renowned fishing spots for Salmon and Sea-trout. A little insider knowledge is invaluable and we’re happy to pass this on.
